Why Silkwood Exists

Silkwood Group grew out of a simple conviction: that overseas and domestic investors deserve the same direct, developer-level access to UK property that has traditionally been reserved for institutions and insiders. After more than ten years working across the UK property market, founder Lewis Combe saw too many investors paying over the odds through layers of intermediaries, or buying blind into markets they could not easily reach. Silkwood was created to close that gap.

Over those years Lewis built a network of more than 3,500 investors and an audience of over 90,000 contacts, and the business has been involved in the delivery of more than 125 developments across the UK's strongest regional cities and commuter markets. That reach is anchored by an axis between Manchester, the heart of the UK's fastest-growing regional economy, and Dubai, a natural hub for the international capital that increasingly looks to British property for stable, long-term returns.

What sets Silkwood apart is the decision to handle everything in-house rather than hand clients off at the point of sale. Tax structuring, legal work, finance and lettings are all coordinated by the firm, so that an investor in Dubai, Singapore or London can buy a property in Manchester or Liverpool with the same confidence as a local buyer. For clients across more than 70 countries, that single point of accountability is the difference between a transaction and a relationship.
