Bramlett House

Bamlett House is rich in local heritage, named after the historic Bamlett’s agricultural engineering works founded in 1860. The arrival of the Leeds–Thirsk railway at the Town End terminus in 1848 marked the beginning of rapid industrial expansion in the area. This included maltings for local breweries, a sawmill, and Bamlett’s itself renowned worldwide for its mowing and reaping machines, which were exported across the globe for over 100 years.
